#TRASHART: NFT GARBOLOGY

L'Avant Galerie Vossen, 58 rue Chapon, Paris, France Curated by Robness. #TRASHART is a crypto art movement born from early NFT controversies (2019-present), where artists faced backlash for producing large quantities of art and using uncited collage imagery. Criticized for his use of the glitch tool Photomosh, Robness created the iconic "64 GALLON TOTER" in protest, ultimately leading to his ban from platforms like Superrare. Artists began incorporating trash bins into their work as a sign of solidarity. Today, TRASHART raises debates on art and censorship, with thousands of related works on blockchains worldwide. |
